I like what you said Islandfish, I have been to the Barbados many of times and I have to tell you the beauty of it is beyond my imagination. To anyone reading this, if you ever have the opportunity to travel to the Barbados, definitely take a day or evening cruise on the Jolly Roger ship. I guarantee you will have a fabulous time. My fiancée lives in Barbados and I plan on going over in November to be married barefoot on the beach. Wish me luck.

On our first trip to Barbados we fell in love with the island and the people. After a tour we did something I said I would never do- bought a week in a timeshare! We now tell people we are 1/52 Bajan.

The scuba diving is excellent! Beautiful fish, a sunken ship, lots of fish. This is my favorite Carribean Island by far. Villas can be rented for a very reasonable price. See you there!

Most beautiful place we have ever been. We felt we had a spell cast on us and now can't get enough! We stayed on the South coast but travelled over the island and just loved it. The people are the most friendly we have ever know and our children were as taken with this paradise in the Sun as we were. Our favourite place was a little bar, on the St. Lawrence Gap. Looking forward to our next stay to celebrate the Millenium. Please let us know if anyone else is planning to be in Barbados Dec '18 - Jan '12

I've been to Barbados more than several. I was born in Barbados and from my experiences I can truly say that is a very beautiful and pleasant place "full of surprises!". Barbados is always underestimated mainly because of it's size ,but as I always say to many people, you've got to try it for yourself and beleive me when I say this: you won't regret it. 28 year resident

As a visitor who has been to Barbados once a year for the last 7 years with husband and kids in tow, I have to say how thrilled I am to be able to touch base with such a great people. We have met many wonderful people over the years on the Island. The last time we were there a few months ago a local fellow asked me if I was enjoying my trip I replied that yes, - I always did. When he asked me how many times we had visited I told him and he said something I will never forget. He said, "Welcome home." That's how I feel about Barbados-like it is home. Now.... if I could just find a way to move to the Island. 8-). So, I thank you for letting me escape back to the wonderful island called Barbados at least once a day.

When visiting Barbados try Consett Bay, a lovely little bay located on the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. The sea here has strong currents, medium to large waves, lots of undertow and is very choppy. The beach is usually quite lively with a hype of activity from the locals and fishermen.

Conset Bay is a picturesque sheltered bay which is home to a quaint little fishing village and a long jetty. It is also an area rich in heritage and traditions and is a perfect photo opportunity.

Many fishing boats dock in this bay while fishermen sell their catch of the day on shore at its small fish market.

Consett Bay is located on the East Coast of Barbados in the parish of St John.
